If you have drawn a coveted Baldwin Hunt Unit tag and want to hunt BIG Northern Michigan black bear without dogs, this is for you. We have multiple baited, cell-cam-monitored sets available to hunt in the Grand Traverse area. Sets are available for bow or firearm, tree stand or ground blind. You bring your stand or blind, we put you in the right spot. A pop-up blind can be provided upon request for an additional fee. This hunt includes assistance with tracking your shot animal, retrieval from the field, and field dressing of your bear.

While we provide the baited sets, scouting intel, and hands-on assistance, this is not a “sit back and watch” hunt. You will be involved in every step of the process. From checking sets and reading sign to shot placement, tracking, and recovery, this experience is about doing things the right way and understanding why we do them. We believe in teaching, not just guiding. Our goal is for you to leave not only with a great Northern Michigan black bear, but with the knowledge and confidence to apply these skills on your own in the future.
